Only if you've run it hard in the two minutes preceeding shutdown. If so wait 2 minutes before shutoff, this allows proper cooldown.
If you drive normally without racing to your driveway then no wait is required.
I read this in the owners manual the day I picked up my car - give the manual a once through... you'll come accross dozens of tidbits that will serve you well.
