Is it normal to have a little play on the exhuast side of the turbo?I had the DP off today and grabbed the compressor wheel and it had a little play is this normal?

and you should have no play ...

22K miles it wiggles just a little but it is noticable.It's on my 07

if under warrenty take it in and see what they say .

there shouldnt be any shaft play in a turbo that age.

shoot the one I got form Ski-R with 50k on it has none

Ehh dealer here probably won't do anything anyways probably have fun explaining why I was even in the turbo.They are not mod friendly at all.

turbine wheel ; )

minimal shaft play is fine as long as it isn't in and out, rather up and down

and by minimal i mean not a lot at all, hard to judge, but there will be a little play

Thats what it is up and down movment just enough to notice,no in or out movement.

loose shaft would cause gasket / seal wear and cause oil consumption.

But a turob car will use a little oil anyhow .
