high pressure turbo and low pressure turbo most definitely NOT the same thing.<p>tell your parts guy to get a clue!

I appreciate the replies guys but do you guys have any proof. The Power is controled by the ECU. My guess is my parts guy might be right. I was looking for something a little more concrete than these answers. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/smile.gif" BORDER="0">

haha, what more proof do you want?<p>high pressure turbo means its bigger and capable of providing a higher level of boost.<p>low pressure turbo is smaller, spools quicker, and supports less HP.<p>?!?

Was looking for more like part numbers, not theory on turbo sizes. But thanks for the reply.

wow. Your parts guy is wrong. Your 97 GLT uses a 13g turbo and the 97 T5 uses a 15g turbo I believe. They should have different part numbers.
