Ok so driving today i was listening to my turbo spool... So first gear thru 3rd constant then 4th and the sound began the break up ... as in spool stop spool stop spool stop .... The thing with this is i also notice in 4th that the car feels like the turbo cuts out or something(i assume more mods needed) but the sound is what is bothering me ?..?

If it's only happening in those gears, you might be getting a kink in the lines. Find someone with a boost gauge to really see what's going on or we're just spinning wheels...

Scanning for fault codes is the easiest way to start. Gets you in the right direction if theres a related code stored, most codes determine the fault right away. Nice things about volvo i guess, even though they set a lot of CEL least the codes break it down pretty damn close to the fault.

Yeah unless you have a scan tool yourself. I do., but it still doesnt give you the info that the volvo issued VIDA sysytem does. Its pretty much awesome. I wish i could steal it after i leave the dealership lol. *****.
