Re: Turbo Oil Line bolts (juve021)

the feed is a Banjo bolt IIRC, I'd like to say 10mm but may be 8mm. If you thinking of picking up oil temp there, be careful that the turbo body doesn't skew the true temp.

Using a washer type thermocouple I was thinking about attaching it to the inlet bolt on the oil line to the turbo. Would it skew the temp that much you think?

does the turbo get hot <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/frown.gif" BORDER="0"> I would not do it there... I'd do it on the line back several inches from the turbo body.

Re: (juve021)

Jim is right! One of my feed screws got stripped, so I'll be replacing it this weekend. I don't think you'd want to get oil temps from that location.
