I bought a 97 T-5 wagon with about 80,000 miles on it. When I got under it AFTER I bought it (lol) I noticed that the turbo has oil residue on it, but there is never any on the driveway. It is definitely no the oil return line, as that is clean. Is this normal? My car isnt using any oil so should I be worried about it?
Re: turbo has oil on it, but doesnt leak a drop on the ground? (yellow95)
sounds like crankcase ventilation which pefectly normal for these cars...the PCV valve is directly before the turbo on the intake pipe...so the oil is probably just coming from there...
