Re: trunk brace/rear upper brace questions (SDS40)

Not to my knowledge. <br>Where would the mounting points be? I don't know the dimensions you would need but maybe something from the Mazda3? Or you could always go custom.<br>I have one in my R and it's impressive. With the S40 already being a tighter car all the way around I can only imagine that it would really snug up the rear end. <br>

Re: trunk brace/rear upper brace questions (mad matt)

I would be interested if something like this were available, but I don't recall much from last time I had the trunk liner out.

Re: trunk brace/rear upper brace questions (sanatarium)

It looks like there's one strut tower bolt exposed in the rear on each side. Here's some pics of when I had my trunk stripped:<p>Closeup of left side strut tower<br><IMG SRC="http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc5/mattdocs40/closeup_struttower.jpg" BORDER="0"><br><IMG SRC="http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc5/mattdocs40/emptytrunk-1.jpg" BORDER="0"><br><IMG SRC="http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc5/mattdocs40/faraway_struttower.jpg" BORDER="0"><br><IMG SRC="http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc5/mattdocs40/ampside.jpg" BORDER="0"><br><IMG SRC="http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc5/mattdocs40/emptytrunk-1.jpg" BORDER="0">

Re: (zerocover)

Thanks for the pics! I don't see why not, might loose a little trunk functionality, but who the hell cares? Would be pretty easy to make though.

Re: (sanatarium)

I had contacted a few companies regarding underbody braces that fit our cars from the Mazda3 but after inspecting our ground clearance deemed it probably unnecessary. This might have the same affect as the underbody chassis support for the rear but i would think that an upper brace locking the shock towers together would have more affect than one lower to a support like the floor.
