That's exactly what I was thinking because you can't just pull the piece off on the S60s... Boron steel isn't gonna be reshaped too easily.

Putting it up on the 'frame machine' friday to see if there is anything on the inside. Seems like a low repair bill

When I saw the thread title my first thought was much worse (as in while driving a tree and an R met up). Glad that it looks like it was only the car that took a beating and nobody was hurt.

Sounds kinda low, your prbly gonna have over that just in labor charges

I'd make sure that a body shop authorized/certified by Volvo for frame work and repair also gives you an estimate.

that will not get repaired properly for $3600. No way. The panel itself & paint, new trunk, maybe bumper (if it just wasn't clips that came undone), taillight. Labor is what is going to bring that up over that amount.

It might not be totaled, it depends how much that quarter was bent in. It might not be structural- tough to tell. take it to a proper shop and get a good estimate.

edit: though the rear if it pressed down might mess up the rear where bumper supports attach.

I agree with all who say that estimate is too low, I would definatly get another estimate

I would make sure it's a Volvo certified repair facility who will tell you as soon as they see it NO WAY it can be fixed for $3600. I would also make sure all the parts are Volvo OEM and nothing aftermarket or used.
