Hi Family,

I am driving a 2010 Volvo s40 2.0D ( D4204T) with 270 000 km on the clock. The tranny is power shift. When I am driving on highway I don't have a problem at all except slight jerking. However when driving in town, every time I stop at a traffic light, there is a clucking sound seemingly coming from the tranny. Also a sound like 2 things rubbing is also heard. I tried changing oil but same problem. Kindly assist.

Could need a new filter, clutch packs could be worn out, could have an internal seal blown out, could have a check ball getting stuck or leaking. Automatics are a fickle thing. Probably best to get it professionally rebuilt.

Junkyard, LKQ, whatever you got around, and if you have the experience, going and pulling it yourself would help the $$$ significantly.
