Transmission mount bushing (small) question

696 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Paysts
Today I replaced my worn transmission mount bushing (the bigger one) with the one that IPD provides. I also noticed that the small one is cracked, but IPD does not provide a replacement. How do you guys cope with that/? I don't want to put a stock one on there because that one will most definitely crack, just like this one did. Any suggestions?
Thanks

Let it go...Word has it that if both bushings were replaced with poly the vibrations are insane. You could experiment by getting a tube of windshield adhesive and filling the void around the small bushing, allow it to cool and install...

Yea I did notice a bit more vibrations when I put on the bigger bushing, but it's nothing to be concerned about.
I think I might fill the small one with polyurethane.
I had the complete QBM lower trans mount on my car and the vibrations sucked. I mean, this car isn't a Mazda Miata when it comes to shifting, so what I did was combine the large OEM piece with the small polyurethane piece. And now, I don't have any vibrations at all--this with the QBM strut mod done, albeit on a OEM Volvo upper mount. The car is just butter with this setup, I regret nothing.
