Hello, I'm new to Sweedspeed.com, however I've own quite a few volvos.
I currently have a transmission problem with my 1993 Volvo 965. When it's cold the transmission shifts fine, but after it warns up the shifting gets altered. It doesn't stay in 3rd gear... as soon as it shifts from 2nd to 3rd it jumps to 4th right away unless I press heavy on the gas then it'll shift back into 3rd after having shifted quickly from 3rd and 4th.
Then there's the problem in downshifting where it gets stuck in 4th and won't shift down to thru all the gears until it gets to 1st, however it does shift to first at the very end once the car is coming close to a complete stop (about 10m/h), and after making the whole vehicle shake. It's kind of as if I was driving a manual transmission and would forget to press the clutch to get it out of gear before coming to a complete stop.
Any suggestions on what could be causing this? Thanks in advance for any help anyone may provide.
