it happens when my car is first started up in the morning...<P>the car isnt temperature wise cold..it just hasnt been started in about 8-10 hours...<P>when i shift to reverse to move out of my driveway, i hear a rattling as if sumthing was shaking loose in my car, or sumthing is grinding.<P>the fluid of the trans is fine....oil is fine... and the problem doesnt exist after i have driven it around.<P>is this normal? or should i take it in and get it checked? warranty?

If you had special aftermarket flywheel, it would be that clinking around a bit, as they tend to do when no load is on them, but if you're stock, dunno. <IMG SRC="http://www.swedespeed.com/ubb/biggrin.gif">

I would check your engine mount not the one on top but the one on the right side. That might be broken..have them replace it with a stornger mount..

well.. all the mounts were checked, and the dealer said there was nothing wrong, said they couldnt repeat the problem.<p>*shrugs* i still hear it.. and it seems more evident than ever. grrr<p>oh well.. i got extra insurance warranty from AIS.. so i hope if anything happens in the future, its covered.

Do you have auto or manual?<p>Hmm....if you have a manual and the ticking continues and triggered some check engine light, you are in trouble. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emdgust.gif" BORDER="0">
