I am asking this question as I have received different replies from the Volvo dealership. In the new XC90, where are the tyre pressure sensor located? In the tyre valve or in the ABS? These are different systems as the first directly monitors pressure in the tyre, while the second does it based on the tyre performance. With the ABS system one does not need to buy winter three and wheel with TPMS sensors.

It looks like some volvos have itpms, which is the abs system you are referring to. Go into vehicle status and see if you can view individual tire pressures. If you can, then you do not have itpms and have sensors in the wheels.
