I've read stats that say our cars are limited to 155mph. If you get a reflash, or get that limiter removed...and you have some basic bolt on mods that up the hp...what is the fastest an R will go?<p>how fast have any of you gone?? I think my speedo got close to 150 once....but who knows how accurate it is. Of course this was on a track. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/rolleyes.gif" BORDER="0">

"on a track" is so the internet police don't jump down my neck for saying I went 150.<p>i think a lot of the "track" stories here are really from the street..we all know it...it's no secret.<p>or maybe it was in a dream I had.. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/smile.gif" BORDER="0"><p>seriously, I know the R can do more than 155. I had a picture of a Honda Prelude speedo pegged at 150mph....and that was only a 200hp car.<p>without admitting you did it..what do you guys think an S60R OR a V70R could do in terms of a max top speed? stock, or even mild mods..like ECU/dp/exhaust

i got 160 mph in my T5 and still pulling but the next exit was very close so i brake, the BSR PPC remove the speed limiter and set the new top speed to 169 mph in the T5, in the R i think is more.

I think I'd lower the car and replace the pirellis before I go for another high speed run. It feels okay at 150, but I want to feel a bit better than 'okay' at that speed.
