Today is the day allotted to production of our car!

Should be rolling off the production line at Torslanda some time today. I think it 'might' be the last Ocean Race build, but more on that story in about a month and a half when the car arrives here and we take ownership of it.

Congrats! Did you do a custom build order?? MY19 continues through end of week 16, ie. Apr 21, so there are still a couple of more weeks during which other MY19 cars, including the OR, are built ...

You're gonna love it. Got mine in July '18 and I still turn around after parking it to give it a look...and a smile.

It's definitely a custom order. :p

As far as being the last, like I said, I'll explain more in a little over a month when the keys are in hand. It's a really interesting and kind of a crazy story.

And it now has officially been booked a slot on "Glorious Leader", leaving Gothenburg on April 21st, making stops in Zeebrugge, then Halifax, and offloading in NYC (Newark) on May 4th. :)

So far that puts it on time based on Volvo's ETA to the dealership.

There are three other VORs on the ship along with mine. So if anyone has one on order, and the dealer has told you a mid-late May dealer arrival, then chances are, yours is sitting there with mine.

The other three VINs are:

YV4A22NT5K1084145
YV4A22NT9K1084147
YV4A22NT2K1084149

Otherwise there's a bunch of XC90s and XC60s, some XC40s, a few V60s, a handful of V90CCs (T6), one lonely V90CC T5. No regular V90s with this group.

Looks like Volvo created a series of VIN's for the T6 VOR that goes up to YV4A22NT0K1284155. VIN's get allocated in advance of production and while the chassis number is possibly indicative of production order/sequence it does not indicate a particular date. But all else being equal, one might surmise that YV4A22NT0K1284155 was produced after YV4A22NT9K1284154 if a computer is grabbing them from a pre-allocated queue. But not guaranteed and definitely doesn't mean that they were built next to each on the assembly line. The various models get all intermixed on the assembly line (I witnessed it).

@nbvolks - how did you get a list of all VIN's on that ship? Is there a VIN manifest available through the shipping website api? (I can't be bothered to go back and look .. i was using the api to track my vehicle and others last year).

Yes, you can see all VINs on the ship based on destination.

The chassis code does seem to tie to order on a given production line as there are other models with chassis numbers that slot between these. It's not like they do solid runs of one model or another, they're mixed.

Mine ends 153. I don't see any VORs beyond that.

How did you see the allotted VINs?

As of now they haven't made it to the dock, so not sure if they actually got built.

Was built on Thursday 4/4. :p

What are you going to build?
Interesting... My planned factory complete date was also 4/4, but I think they finished earlier, because 2wglobal website shows booked on 4/2, Received at Terminal on 4/3, and made it on the Grand Hero from Gothenburg to Zeebruge, then it's on her way on the Faust to NY.

Using the NHTSA website to decode the VIN..
https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/mid/home/displayfile/c428dbd5-42ec-49c1-a3e9-2849b9b2afd9

With the 240 other Volvos on the same ship... (Search using the Booking number and click "Printer Friendly" to put everything in one page and dump to excel)
There are:
4 - XC90 T8s (YV4BR0C)
2 - XC60 T8s (YV4BR0D)
37 - XC60 T6s (YV4A22R)
127 - XC90 T6s (YV4A22P)
2 - V90CC T6s (YV4A22N)
57 - XC90 T5s (YV4102P)
6 - V90CC T5s (YV4102N)
1 - V90 T6 (YV1A22V)
3 - V60 T6 (YV1A22S)
1 - V60 T5 (YV1102E)

Dang thats a lot of XC90s...

I think, in general, they run slightly ahead of schedule.

Mine had a quoted build start date of 4/5 with factory completion by 4/9, but it was started on 4/3 and factory complete on 4/4. Booked 4/8, Received at the terminal on 4/9, and loaded on 4/21.

Also, just checked, and the next shipment allotment has been "received by terminal", and there are no VORs in that mix.

Still not seeing those, or any other VORs, showing up at the dock after 153. So either they allotted those VINs but they didn't get built, or they're for European customers and therefor wouldn't show up as passing through the dock. At this point no new cars have moved to the dock from Gothenburg since 4/21. Zeebrugge is still pushing out 2019 models though it seems, as they just received some 2019 ("K" VIN code) models today.
