I noticed my R was getting "sloppy" and the hop had become worse.
I've not been doing what I preach and have obviously not checked pressures for awhile
Lo and behold, all were about 31-32psi.
Put them back to 38 lbs (remember, TME springs and 18" Michelins).
The R is ALIVE once again.
It handles as before and the hop is VERY reduced to the point that it doesn't even bother me
JRL

Re: Tire pressures and side hop revisited once again (sk11vengeance)

It was hopping in comfort and a bit in sport, which never happened before.
All is well again.
Moral of the story is to make sure your tire pressures are up to snuff and above 36 lbs, makes a huge difference.
As I said and will repeat what I wrote if you didn't understand what I said the 1st time, comfort is acceptable now, VERY little to no hop
(Naturally it also helps not to have OEM P Zero's)

Re: Tire pressures and side hop revisited once again (LTA)

Certain cars you can run 10 lbs. lower and you would never know it.
ALL Volvos are sensitive to tires pressure and work very differently with as little as 3 lbs. more or 3 lbs. less.
Our R's are VERY sensitive to tire pressure and really should be monitered at least every two weeks.
I was remiss and didn't this time. Luckily, no harm, no foul, but I should have been more attentive, (lots going on in my life right now).
..and that's no darn excuse it takes about 30 seconds to check your tires

I generally run 36psi on the PZeros. I would think that anything higher would get really bouncy based on current observations. Then again, I am on Rev2 and original bushings.
Next year.....Dunlop Sport Maxx.
