I just wanted to throw a question out to everyone. I would like to explore the effects of tire pressure. How do you find an optimal pressure without over or underinflating a tire, causing excessive wear in certain spots. Do different types of tires require higher / lower PSI? Any thoughts? Thanks.<P>

There has to be somebody out there who races. I posted a semi answer but can't find the percentage. Typically to verify pressure for racing you can heat them up from cold to hot and calculate percentage increase in pressure when hot. Or if your really serious you actually check rubber temperature after hot (hense(spelling?) the practice days before races) But somebody must know the %. I believe a buddy of mine used to use 10% increase to get maximum adhesion while racing!<P>Any boy racers out there?????
