A guy is selling a wheel and tire package and doesn not want to split. Do I have my math right?

215mm width x 0.45 aspect height = 3.8"
3.8 x 2 sidewalls = 7.6" + 17" wheel diameter = 24.6" diameter overall

235mm width x 0.45 aspect height = 4.16"
4.16 x 2 sidewalls = 8.33" + 17" wheel diameter = 25.33" diameter overall

The 215/45 is almost 3/4" shorter not to mention 8.46" wide vs. 9.25", again - over 0.75" narrower.

Too small for a 2005 s60? I love my wide tires, but could be a good deal I am considering. 235/45 stock size for my AWD.

Thanks. The other concern I would have would be trying to go to a 235 on a 7 inch wide wheel later. Would that work?

Your math looks good. The difference isn't huge, but there will be a slight lag in acceleration and your speedometer may be off by about 1mph around the 80mph mark. But neither of these will be truly noticeable.

That'll fit, any professional shop won't have a problem with it. You'll have a bit more bulge in the sidewall, but that's extra protection for your wheels.
