My Right Front tire just bubbled on the side wall the other day. The wife didn't really notice, but I saw it a mile away. The Michelin PS 2's are only about a year old. I got maybe 5K miles on them. They are on my 17" rims and I am going to swap on my 18's here soon. What are my best options to fix the issue? Replace front two tires or just replace all 4 with some winter 17's? Not too much snow in MD so I feel like I would be wasting some good tires. The R is not driven daily.

I would just put on the 18s that you have and wait till the winter to replace 2 of the 17s

Actually, I just had this happen to me on my winter wheels. I drove with it for a few hundred miles then the other day, I was checking pressure and notices the bubble had developed 2 cuts or slits surrounding the bubble!! I then knew it was time to change them out for my summers ASAP!

This has also happened to me this winter. 2 bubbled winter 17s, (broke one peg). It was time to put summers on anyways.

Just got a bubble on one front and one rear also there has to be a way to fix this, freakin tires are expensive!

I purchased my new tires from DiscountTire - with their Replacement plan if they cannot fix the tire

Buy 1 tire and have tire rack shave it to meet the tread depth of the other 3.

Can't a local Discount Tire or other place do the same thing? I have a small bubble on the right rear tire on 18" rims. The tires I have are Yokohama S-drive and I have no idea where they were purchased, just on the car when I bought it. It was a leased car that I bought from a dealer who brought it up from California. I guess I'll just have to buy a new tire when it gets worse.

Buy new tires and sell your used ones to the Non AWD guys

Well if people will buy an R with a GT transmission then people will buy anything. Might be the way to go.
