My trim is getting rough looking so I'm gonna fresh it up. Should I use back to black or would painting it be a better option. What product works well?

i did mine yesterday with pintura black trim dye from one of the members on here although his SS name escapes me... and it works great although i got lazy and now i need to go back and do another coat....
