Lee Cordner <[email protected]>
Date: Saturday, December 29, 2001 at 9:31 a.m.
Golden Gate Chapter of Volvo Club of America will be holding their thrid annual high performance driving event at Thunderhill Raceway near Sacramento California on April 29th.
The cost for the day will be $150 and will include plenty of track time, an instructor if you wish, and lunch.
Thunderhill is a 1.7 mile road course.
Your car doesn't have to be modified, and you don't have to be a VCOA member to participate. You will need a helmet and the normal highway safety equipment. NO RACING, just a chance to drive your car at speed on a closed course.
More information is available on our website http://members.aol.com/goldengatevcoa/
And you can check out the track at www.thunderhill.com
Let me know if you are interested in this event and I'll get you signed up.

Too bad I'm on the wrong coast. I'd love to do something like this. I guess I'll have to hope someone does this at Summit Point Raceway in WV.

Holy cow, I wish DC had a VCOA chapter that was active like this. Track events at Summit Point would be kinda cool, though with the R gone and the 245 completely stock at the moment, track days might be kinda strange.
