I saw this car on the road and liked the body style. I've been researching it and the 3.2L V6 seems to be a pretty good engine. The interior is beautiful and I like the exterior quite a lot. Only negative in my mind is that there's no manual offered. 6 speed automatic. 255 HP and 248 or so torque.<p>I have always been looking for a good car to replace my T5 with a car that has a bit more rear seat legroom and the A6 certainly does (almost 3"). My wife certainly likes it. Another problem is that there's no blue interiors offered.<p>If I leased this Audi I'd be saving about $175/month over what I'm paying now on a purchased '04 S60 T5....but I'm just dreaming and looking. I'll wait and see what happens with the '07 A6 to see if they offer a stick.<p>On the other hand, I could just lease an '07 S60R sonic blue/nordkap MT (that is if they still make them) <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/tongue.gif" BORDER="0">

Too hard to find a 2.7T 6 speed eh?<p>I like the new A6...as I mentioned to you..a friend of mine sells them across the street from our BMW Mercedes store so I took one for a drive awhile back...very nice car. Less expensive than the bimmer.

It was tought to find a 2.7T 6 speed, but now that the new A6 is out, I like that body style much more. I won't consider it until it comes out in a stick. I'll keep my T5 for now....the search continues for the perfect blue exterior/blue interior car with a stick, decent rear legroom, FWD/AWD.....I'll probably be waiting a while. Unless if I test drive the A6 and just love it with the automatic.<p>Another interesting point is that the new VW Jetta 3.6L engine has more HP than the 3.2L A6. I went to my dentist yesterday who has a brand-new A6. He parks next to his decorative pond which contains some really big goldfish. I looked at the fish, looked at the A6, back to the fish, and then it struck me. Hey, they look EXACTLY THE SAME! eeeeeewww! What was Audi thinking!!??

Your thoughts are interesting because we have an Audi and we are seriously considering the S40. The Audi is a great car but it has one problem. It has a terrible automatic climate control system. In the wintertime, you can’t set the temperature below 64 degrees and as the car is warming up it will blow very uncomfortable very hot air out of every orifice until the cabin temperature stabilizes which can take about 30 minutes. It is particularly hard on women of a certain age. My wife finally said enough. I visited a Volvo dealer today and they said that the Volvo’s climate control system can be set as low as 60 degrees. This still doesn’t give me much comfort because the way the inferior warm up in the wintertime is the problem. I would check out the Audi’s winter climate control operation before committing to an Audi if you have a female companion reaching a certain age. If you are the only one who will be driving the Audi, go for it. It is a fantastic car.
