Yesterday, whilst trying to remove a mark on the headlining in my V70 I noticed a square plastic cover right in the centre. As I rubbed the headlining the cover popped off to reveal a green connector fixed to a plastic box with some Volvo part number. Can someone please tell me what it is?

If your car came with the Volvo Guard Alarm system, it is the movement sensor - used for sensing air changes in case someone smashes the window or if a child is inadvertently locked in the car.<p><IMG SRC="http://acctest.semcon.se/images/P2X/0900c8af80ade882.jpg" BORDER="0"><p><A HREF="http://acctest.semcon.se/en-GB/P2X/safety/guard-alarm-system-info/VCC-249424.htm" TARGET="_blank">http://acctest.semcon.se/en-GB...4.htm</A>

That bit at No3 is what it is. Thanks for telling me. I was a bit worried when I knocked it out of position so tonight I will take the car somewhere quiet, sit in it and set the alarm and then try doing a Joe Cocker to see if it still works!
