Re: The Xc90 is the least expensive car to insure! (david)

Yes, I was amazed to see that my 10k cheaper acura was more expensive to insure than the XC90.

This is really amazing and I've found to be true in our household. We have a 1998 3 Series BMW and a 2005 XC90. The XC90 is probably worth 3 times our BMW, but yet the insurance is practically identical.

our rates on our xc90 have steadily declined to where we are now paying about $75/month for 500 deductible collision, $0 comprehensive deductible, and max amounts of liabilty and un/underinsured MV as well as 100K medical. Pretty well maxed out coverage. When we first bought it was about $90/month

I pay around $63/month for 300K/100K, $500/$100 deductible, no medical payments (in FL i can use my current health insurance to cover this). I believe it is a terrific rate, as there is an estimated 50% of uninsured motorists in South Florida.

Re: (carlog)

I was alos stunned at how cheap my 2007 XC90 was to insure. It was only 65$ more over a year than the 2002 Explorer EB it replaced. NOt bad for a 70K vehicle I'd say.

Our xc90 is cheaper than our mini cooper s and only $36 more a year than our 98 maxima. I wonder if this applies to all volvo's?
