In both the S60s I've had the paper holder in the windshield rattled. So if you hear a noise that comes and goes and it appears to be originating from the dashboard or steering wheel, it is probably the paper holder. I placed a small felt pad to avoid it.

So far has not happened in any of my other Volvos.
LTA
The R's got bent when I was cleaning the windshield and the XC90 happened on it's own. The hairdryer works great and so far I've only done it once to each vehicle.

The ticket holder on my car buzzed when I first got the car, & I quickly got tired of the noise. A clear, stick-on vinyl bumper worked for me & is not noticeable . . . one of the little doodads (maybe 1/4 to 3/8 inch diameter) that you can buy at a hardware store. They are often used on the back side of kitchen cabinet doors.
- Mark

I've heard there is a VADIS software upgrade for this problem. I'll check to see if I can find the number.

Mine would get loose periodically as well, but I always found that simply pulling up (as in toward the headliner, not away from the window) would cause it to click a couple times and get tighter - no padding necessary...
d-
