So, if this is inappropriate, mods feel free to move it. I figured some might be interested to see what I do with this wagon though so I will just post in this thread as it goes a long.
Got the GTI grill on, my brother took my Jetta front grill. I like the black better.

Gonna be lowering the wagon next month, APR stage 1 also. 600 gets me a 93 octane, 100 octane, valet, stock, and security lockout program.
Very excited about this wagon.
GTI is the FSI motor with the DSG tranny...quick shifting little thing. Wagon is the new TSI motor. He has intake/catback/and some pcv fix-upgrade thing. When we ran it was dead even through the top of 2nd and I started pulling in 3rd, so it's nice and quick

Re: The S40 replacement (cicatrizdare)

Your - Going to Like that TSI - Motor It's Way Better then the FSI , In Design and Engineering . It Will be a Little While for a lot of Mods .
They do have an Air Intake - Put It's Not Really Worth the 4 HP , unless You are Chipping etc. - The Stock Down Pie has Proven to Flow Very Good Numbers and the TSI - has More Power in the Upper End the Turbo
Just Breathes Better . ( AS the TSI is 9.6 Compression and the FSI is 10.5 )
Check Me on the FSI GTI - but It's around there . VW saw that with Lower Compression they Needed a Little more Huff .
Second Generation Direct Injection - is Superior & Chain Driven Cams etc.
I Don't Think It would Be Nice to Trew Up - Don't Park Here Signs on Your Postings .
Also with the Chip - If You get the Top End UN-Locked , that Little Wagon would Run about - 155 Mph .
- Please Don't Drive That Fast - Unless Your on a Track - I Think Rocking-Ham has some sort of Driving On the Track Each Yr.

Re: The S40 replacement (EngTech)

Yea, the TSI motors are nice. Stage 1 + intake is seeing about 235whp/275-285wtq from what I've been reading. Stage 2 just needs a downpipe, and on the TSI its considered stage 2+ since it already has the high pressure fuel pump...so they're running VERY quick with the tuning.
Weighs less than 3400lbs too.
