If my car is P2 model I need to use JWS3309 and if P3 - JWS3324. So being the "new" (at the time) 2012 S60, I thought my car as the P3 model. However...

I need to look at the VIN/Chassis # to determine which fluid (JWS3309 or JWS3324 spec'd), I quote:
So at the end of the day, even though my car is a 2012 model, P3 (or is it?) I need to use the older type oil? I am confused. To add further to the confusion, the first thread also says that I can put the newer fluid (JWS 3324) into my (older) transmission.
My hesitancy comes from the fact that I ended up baying 12 quarts of either fluid so if I could use JWS 3309 first and later after 30K the JWS 3324, that would be ideal. But one thing I'm sure of, I can't do it the other way around.

Given that my chassis # is 050616, "Rule 101" definitely applies here, and hence the right fluid is JWS 3309.
