I've only found a small handful of pictures of lowered P3 S60s here after lots of searching. I thought I'd start a thread where people can post their lowered cars for the rest of us to see what various spring / coilover/ wheel combos look good, for us to admire, discuss, and learn from.

Mine is currently stock but I'm planning on getting lower, so I'll post pictures once I get there. In the meantime, please post your lowered setup. Who's going to start? Thanks in advance!

What lowering springs are you using? What rims are those? Your car looks amazing!

The problem I have with the lowered look on an S60 (and I suppose on any car) is that it creates an uneven gap between the wheel and the fender.
While the gap is reduced or even eliminated at the top, it's exaggerated on either side.

Are you talking about the fact that the shape of the wheel arches doesn't follow the shape of the tire perfectly? To me that's not a big deal...It's still a damn sight better than the 4x4 wheelgap at stock height. What I will say is: the bigger the wheel and the more 'airy' the spoke design, and the smaller the sidewall is, the more your eye is drawn to remaining wheelgap. My personal rule of thumb is the wheelgap should always be smaller than the height of the sidewall to look right. In other words, you can get away with more wheelgap if your tire has a proportionally larger sidewall and/ or wheels with a little more visual weight to them as compared with someone with thin spokes and tiny sidewalls who would need to get pretty low to look right. I've noticed factory wheels often look best on cars with a minimal drop, because they were designed to look good at the stock ride height (they usually carry that "visual weight" of bigger spokes) than a lot of aftermarket wheels.

In solar's case, he has the airy wheel design and lower-profile tires (to maintain the correct outer tire diameter to go with the bigger wheels), but his car is also lowered significantly enough to close up the gap nicely without looking slammed to the ground.

I'd love to have some 19"s, but the Northeast would disagree with my choice. 18's here is as big as I think I can go w/o blowing out every time I hit an unexpected pot hole.

Montreal roads are probably just as bad, I'm just lucky that my daily commute avoids most bad areas...

Does anyone have any pics lowered on H&R springs? This forum doesn't recognize "H&R" as a search term.

Curious. What do you do for snows? 215/50R17 as Volvo recommends for R Design and also for 235/40R19?
I have the Volvo balder wheels that came with the car, 17x7 so yes my winter tires are 215 50.

Bump. A year later and I'm now part of the lowered S60 crew. I'm on KW V3s.
