Had a chance to take Stillman's demo for a short test drive ALONE, (without 3 other fat guys) <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/eek.gif" BORDER="0"> like I did last week.<br>Very decent. Seats are MUCH nicer than an S40. Volvo listened and put (MUCH) nicer foam in them, made the entire drive worth it.<br>Good visability with the top up.<br>(Had it down last week, minimal to no cowl shake) <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> <br>Killer stereo. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> I wish I had the time to trim out the equalizer to my tastes<br>Nice solid ride, decent handling car.<br>This one has the 18's and PZERO's <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthdown.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthdown.gif" BORDER="0"> <br>I have no idea why Volvo must put these God awful tires on a performance set up. Car tramlined, just like my R used to do before the Michelins went on and I think this car too would be 100% better with Michelins or about ANY OTHER TIRE BUT P ZEROS <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthdown.gif" BORDER="0"> just the worst tire in the world.<br><B>Only major complaint is it could use about 30 (or more) hp.</B><br>It's a reletively small car but heavy. Re: The JRL road test (JRL)

P Zero is great when it's raining. On dry, PS2 rocks.<p>I must say that I like the 220 hp T5. Ok, it's slower than my current C70 conv. (~280hp) but I don't care that much. It's for cruising not redlight racing. But if a faster version was avilable, of course I would choose the faster one. Si6 with turbo (285hp) and awd <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> OR V8 awd 315 hp <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0">

Re: The JRL road test (JRL)

I've had both. And I read a test in Auto motor&sport. PS2 was the best tire on dry but not good in the wet. PZero Nero was the best tire in the wet and equal on dry. Bridestone Potenza and P Zero Nero shared 1st place (235p/250p) and M PS2 was 2nd with 229p of 250p

I'm glad that at least <B>2</B> other people besides me noticed the magnificent "Dynaudio" system....marvelous!<p><br>I also had the opportunity to fly it solo, and I thought that they did a nice job. I'm still praying they come out with some new colors <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/rolleyes.gif" BORDER="0"> <br>

JRL, surprised you weren't more critical of the interior. It was the biggest dissapointment for me in a car of this caliber/price range. Of course you did say "road test", and you don't have to drive it to see that.

Re: The JRL road test (T5_awd)

I drove a C70 T5 6MT today. The 6-speed manual is perfect for the car! And it feels a little faster with the manual gear box. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> <p><br>And BTW. JRL, I drove the new S80 today. With PZero Rosso. GREAT tires! <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0"> <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0">

Re: The JRL road test (T5_awd)

I currently have one on the last Toyota Solara V6 5M w/ several TRD mods(FYI-NA car only) and it drives completely different than the slushbox. Actually fun to drive. My hope is that the C70 6M would be similar, fun to drive. Can you give any more details and have you heard any updates on your delivery. My ETA is mid July.

If you want some info on those PZero Rosso, check out tirerack.com and read Survey and Reviews. People do not like that tire.
