It seems like that should be qualified by saying "in its class", it is the safest all time, or something along those lines.

I'll take one of these:

I wonder how that 240 would do in todays off-set crash tests like the S80 that was done above, rather than full-frontal. It is cool that Volvo has a child-dummy in the back seat as well.
