On July 1, 2011 our 2004 XC90 T6 reached the 200,000 mile "post". We bought her (or is it he?) brand new in the fall of 2003. Except for rear wheel bearings (replaced @ 53,000 miles) and a new transmission at 160,000 miles, she has been very reliable. In fact we just replaced the original battery, lasted an incredible 198,000 miles.

Thought I post this as there has been some questions on the reliability on the XC90 and especially on the T6 model. I'll add more details when I have a bit more time.

Here's some pictures from the "event"

I think there must be quite a few of us out there.. last week was approached by a guy in the car park who also had a T6.. saying he read on the forums about the all problems..and if I had experience any of the documented ones.. he apparently had his from new and apart from routine maintence no major work... it had a whopping 260,000km on it.

I'd take my T6 over the 2008 Range Rover that I have... something major going wrong with that almost every month.

My T6 to date no trannies (YET!).. The Range Rover.. new tranny last september... New Navigation computer/Drive/ Screen. Air suspension compressor... 2 x new strutts... ABS module... Radiator... Wheel bearings... The list goes on.. and a stack of receipts with what the previous owner spent on it.
