When it comes to motorsport, the Superbike guys just might be the craziest of the lot. It should come as no surprise then, that British GP rider and occasional TV presenter Guy Martin went looking for something a bit unhinged when he decided to purchase a weekend vehicle.   Luckily for Guy, something even more wild than he’d imagined popped up for sale at just the right time, so he didn’t bother to even see the car in person before writing a check.

The car in question is one that’s familiar to Volvo enthusiasts around the world, a Volvo Amazon that popped up at 2006’s edition of SEMA in Las Vegas, powered by a highly modified 2.4 Liter Turbocharged Volvo powerplant. “I reckon it is just about the fastest car in Britain- quicker than any Ferrari, Porsche or even Bugatti,” Guy recently claimed in an interview with Britain’s Daily Express.

While we’re not quite sure that it is the fastest car in Britain, it’s certainly far from the slowest.   And it’s definitely the coolest.
