btw, I support that idea... or at least go to probationary licensing. Whoever thought it was a good idea to let kids drive anything other than a farm truck at 16 (and I include myself) was crazy. My first time piloting anything that got airborne was at that age - and it had four wheels and no wings.

I was in the middle of testing the APU on one of our A310s last month and sure enough everything flickered...someone said there were sparks coming off the wing spars...glad I was inside!
