I am real curious to see how this GP shakes down.

The new aero formula, slicks, possible illegal rear diffusers, KERS, uh so much has changed this season.

Oh course the front runners of past should be in the front yet again but gee you never know...

They tell me Alonso can talk like a pirate.

Oh really, I always knew we had a connection beyond thick eyebrows...

Me too.

Is Brawn for real?

Who will come to grips with the new mechanical grip and lack of aero?

Alonso could be good if he's got a decent car.

What talk of BMW? Have heard none. Pole on the pole again?

Should be interesting. Have to review the TiVo'd practice session from last night!!!!

I'll take a WAG and say...................... Raikkonen.

I saw some of the practice last night. Oh it was nice watching F1 again.

The cars look so funky!

You bet Brawn is for real!! The teams with the different diffuser (Toyota, Williams and Brawn) were on top of the time sheets.

Fun stuff, can't wait for quali.

I've got a viewing party set-up Saturday night/Sunday morning here in Omaha. I can hardly wait!!

If today's practice was any indication, Australia and Malaysia are going to see the top teams scrambling for answers while Williams, Brawn and Toyota perform an exercise in how to "work" the new regulations

That being said, I will always have soft spot for my beloved Cavallino Rampante and I think Kimi and Felipe will be be strong performers in race trim.

My other favorite team, Red Bull, should do well...that is if they can keep the car from breaking

Welp...we now know Brawn GP is fo' real.

Holy F'n Cow!! What a grid lineup.

What I can't believe are the lap times for Q2. They were faster than last year and this is with a car that has 50% less down force and only 18k revs, unbelievable.

This year is looking tasty.

I would wager that MacLaren, Ferrari and others are building a modified diffuser right now....

Heck, these times weren't just faster than last year:

Rubens' time in Q2 (1:24.783) was the fastest lap at Albert Park since 2004 and the third fastest time ever recorded at that track (Schumacher's lap record is 1:24.125).

I'm completely amazed.

Depending on what the final ruling is from the FIA, it is a near certainty.

But I highly doubt we'll see those developments before Malaysia...

Since the protests don't say it's against the rules, but the "spirit of the rules" we'll see.

Especially since Ferrari doesn't have it. So who knows what that means....

Indeed Sir. Amazed as well.

All this talk about trying to slow the cars down, blah, stupid FIA.

WOW! What a race! Fun fun fun!

Brawn 1-2! Pretty crummy what happened at the end finishing on the safety car. Kudos to Hamilton to playing it cool leading up the race and coming from behind at the beginning to take a 3rd. Bummer what happened to put him there, but he drove a smart race with an admittedly under performing car. Vettel with a strong showing. Great job from Buemi too!

Bravo to the Brawn team to finishing as they poled. They are for real! Absolutely wonderful!

It's fun to see history made like that.

Incredible job done by Brawn/Mercedes ex Honda and great to see Jensen on the top of the podium under deserving circumstances.

This should shape up to be a very exciting season.

Unreal and facinating!
As some of you know, I've been very vocal over the entire F1 BS and the cars. Well, I guess I will be paying much closer attention this year as what was, was.
This is an entirely new race series with as different a car as I can ever remember and the racing was and will be fun.
(I sure wish they would have made those front wings a bit smaller, I'm having a hard time looking at them plus the now obvious fact of how dangerous they can be)
However, I'm so happy for the series that now they seem to be able to actually race and pass once again http://********************/smile/emthup.gif http://********************/smile/emthup.gif
