I should preface this with the Volvo being a '92 244, 235k on the clock, 5 speed manual with Momo shift knob, oil changes every 3k with 20/50 Valvoline and Mann oil filter-with the engine eating little or no oil over that time, and mostly garaged.
In the past two years the car has the following new parts installed:
both fuel pumps
fuel relay
ecu
rebuilt speedometer
shifter bushing
cat
brake pedal pad
clutch pedal pad
front Brembo rotors and PBR pads
instrument cluster light bulbs
02 sensor
new exhaust from cat to exhaust pipe
transmission mount
alternator
battery
both front engine mounts
car cover
radiator
radiator hoses
t-stat
The car needs an a/c retrofit, the trunk lid has become discolored, and it needs new tires-presently it is running Micheln 195/70/14s.
I was thinking that $3,000 would be a fair asking price, and if the buyer wanted the Momo shift knob as well that I would tack on another $100-$60 for the shift knob, and the other $40 for the entire Saturday afternoon it took me last year to make it fit properly.
I should also state that I have literally all the service records from when my parent's bought the 240 for my sister back in '99. Latest case tomorrow I will add some pictures of the car. Thanks in advance

I should also add that the 240 has a sunroof and a new radio antenna

You don't mention whether the engine wiring harness was changed. The car apparently suffers from a serious electrical problem that led to the demise of the ECU, O2 sensor, alternator, cat etc.
I'm not sure if those looking at the long list of extensive parts that have been replaced would see this as a positive sign -- perhaps the PO is nearing the end of his/her rope?

The serious problem from which the car suffers is that it is fourteen years old All the electrical parts enumerated (absent the battery) were the original parts, and the ECU was replaced only because our Volvo mechanic at the time misdiagnosed a fuel problem. So, no, the wiring harness has not been changed-for there is no reason to believe that it is faulty.
After consulting with my sister this afternoon, the car is going to be donated to charity. Consider this thread moot. Danke

To be honest, because of the old style fuse box and fuses, the car no longer endears itself to me, and I would rather have a much newer second car in the garage for my parents to drive. Why in '92 they were still using those old fuses, when my '84 Scirocco had already upgraded to the new style fuses. It is a sad day when there is something better about a VW then a Volvo I will miss the RWD however.
