I just ordered a replacement TCV since I am currently getting zero boost, then full boost, then half boost, then zero boost every time I drive.
How easy is this to replace? Does anyone have step by step instructions on this? Is it really just removing the three lines and plugging them back into the new one? Do I need to disconnect the battery?
-Justin

since we are referencing how-to's, Jim, what do you recommend for a repair manual? Haynes?

You have to pay for it online.

Remove lines and reconnect to new unit one at a time. Put new unit back on airbox.
Only tool you need is a pliers for the hose clamps. Squeeze and they come off.

Surprised there are so many people out of warranty already. I would assume, which may be wrong, that every person that does this on their own and repairs some ill running is denying the rest of us an offical fix from volvo.
