Going to clean the TB (throttle body), was wondering if the TB gasket for R models is the same as for regular s60's. ...can't find an R specific one
Which brings me to my second question... Is the TB on the R the same as well?
BTW, any recommendation on what solvent to use?
I was thinking going with this...
http://shop.oreillyauto.com/pr...0.jpg
... but not sure if it's safe, since the throttle is electronic.
Re: TB question... (rushin_max)

Same gasket.
I suggest just popping the intake hose off the TB and from underneath, propping the throttle plate open with a long screwdriver and spraying the throttle clean. With another long screwdriver you can also use a rag to clean the throttle of stubborn carbon. This way you avoid having to remove the throttle and it gets just as clean. I have always recommended cleaning the throttle every 30K and have done so on all my cars.
That cleaner should be just fine.
Be warned the chemical will come back to earth when spraying the throttle from beneath the car so newspaper and safety glasses recommended for sure.
