these are the 2 pieces I need.

the upper piece is the lock, (18, 22 ,...)

the lower piece (26) is where the lock grabs.

I'd call the lower piece the striker. there are two hinges at the top of the tailgate.

It had some tape on it, where the lock latches, so I am assuming it's worn.

I have both of those, the lock is used and striker plate is used but very new (<4mo) pm an offer

You'll want to confirm that the parts match as not all 1998 V70's have the same rear latch mechanism.
