Tail light cracked

Today I notices a crack in my left tail light plastic cover. There is also some scratching type of damage on the surface right next to the crack. It almost looks as someone backed into me lightly and took off or if someone hit my car with a shopping cart of other object.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get this fixed?
Can I just buy a new cover and change it easily myself or do I need to buy a complete new housing?

I'd contact John @ Boston Volvo. I had one replaced a while back but I don't have the invoice with me.
