All, I have an '06 that when I crank to start the Tach needle jumps up to 3,000 rpm. This doesn't happen all the time, but only every so often. Is there a problem with my electrics or something? Thanks for any insight. |

Only when starting does it jump up. The car idles fine and the needle moves to the correct levels as the engine warms up. |

Every once and awhile, my needles jump. It only happens when the car is off, and when I touch the key to the metal surround around the ignition key hole.... very weird. |

+1. I've always thought it was just from the movement of me getting into the car. |

Me too at first! But then it happened once after a hard day of work, I just got in and sat there with my head on the headrest for a second, then I went to start it and it happened. Ok glad I'm not the only one. |
