Or bolts to be precise<br>Had a sudden change in sound from the engine bay, like an exchaust leak of sorts.<br>Took it by the dealer, lowered the splash plate and low and behold, two of the bolts connecting the DP to the turbohousing was missing. The 3rd bolt on its way out.<br>The bolt hadnt snapped, they unscrewed themselves - is that even a word..<p>FYI it was on the stock dp, no tampering there since new. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif" BORDER="0">

That happened when I put an ATP dp on. I even lost one. When I replaced that, I tightened it and the other one down harder than before and it's been fine ever since (almost a year ago). Yes, I said the other bolt... I snapped one off when taking the stock DP off so I'm running two bolts.

I recommend using lock washers on any aftermarket downpipes. The heat up and cool down cycles a DP goes thru will do murder to those bolts.
