What would be the auditory symptoms of a failing front axle, strut, engine mount, or front upper control arm? (Trying for some insights before I try yet again to have a front-end noise addressed.)

Thanks.

Subscribing. Also might want to consider rubbing dust shields as a source of noise.

I’m currently sitting at 82k miles with a loud rattly rumbling wooshwooshwoosh sound from some rotating part. It could be so many things. The KW V3s have always transmitted so much noise into the cabin and now my tires are worn, suspension, axles, bearings have lots of heavy use miles on them.

for an axle, it would be hearing "Clicking" when turning and putting load on that axle

That is correct regarding the axle. It's a very distinct clicking sound.
Having said that, these are very easy to inspect. Just get under the car and make sure the accordion shaped rubber boots are intact and not leaking grease.
The clicking sound will come after so much grease has been lost.

Strut mounts will make a creaking noise when you are stopped and turn the wheel. It's not loud but you can hear and feel it.
