How hard is it to do? I've also got an XM radio installed with the current SC-900. Do I need to disconnect the battery. I've never done this before. Should I just take it to a car stereo place that installed the XM radio and let them do it right?

No, doc, you don't need to go anywhere. easy as a a wipers swap. Pull out old radio (press in/pull out two vertical tabs on the face panel first), disconnect 2 sockets (push tabs on top of them) and 2 coaxials. Intall new one in reverse order.
5 minutes.
You don't need to disconnect the battery.
Cheers,
Kirill

What about the XM radio connection? Is that connected to the back of the current radio? Anything special with that?

I made the switch. Huge improvement in sound. The XM connections weren't involved as far as I could tell. Now it sounds like my old C70 which also had the SC-901. SC-900 is crap!!!!!
