It used to be 1800.

He is right, it is a really easy install though, as long as you can get the rear discs off

Plus your wheels may not fit

1800 for a full front and rear upgrade is a steal of a deal, 2600 is decent. Stock wheels are guaranteed to not fit but aftermarkets with a nice offset should.

Big Brakes are eye candy no doubt. I would pay more for a car everyday with them on.

Any place you can get this cheaper? Or is this as low as it gets, unless buying used off the salvage yards?

You can find a slightly better deal if you shop around.

I paid about $780 for the fronts.

Calipers + rotors ~ $570
SS brake lines ~ $105
Pads ~ $58
Spring clip kits ~ $44

Total ~ $777

Calipers include a $100 core charge for both. Unfortunately, Volvo only accepts R calipers in return for refunds.

Thats not bad

I just used Vadis and found everything from that kit and searched it on Tascafordparts.com

The whole kit from Tasca is $2100 Front and Rear

But Backslide found a great way to get it on the cheap

Be cautions as the braking characteristics will change while driving in through slush or heavy rain. You will have to "clear" brakes often.Otherwise a major upgrade. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Yeah, I wouldn't spend $2,600 for S60R brakes. You can take that $2,600, trade in your T5, and you'll be able to afford the REAL R. Plus, the brakes on the T5 are already phenomenal.

Whats the big deal of having the R brakes?
I mean, for less than half of that (around 600) you can pick up slotted rotors and ceramic pads and have really good brakes. They look cool too http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

I didn't know the stock T5 brakes were that impressive as is. Good to know.

I can't speak for others, but I wouldn't want an R unless I could afford the upgraded Haldex system from 06 on, but that is very unlikely. The T5 is more in line with what I can afford....and I also like the cylinder wall thickness of the 2.3 T5's!

Ok, getting off course here. Sorry.

Having a strong motor is really nice, if anyone actually put a BT on a T5. (Okay, maybe 3?)

Personally, I think the brakes on my T5 are fantastic, I love how quickly it stops.

I think I might jump on the deal but I want to DEFINITELY confirm that it'll work for my 06 S60.. It says it's from a 05 R and "fits Volvo models: Volvo S60 2001-2005"

Does anyone know?
