Volkswagen AG isn't in a position, though GM might be. I don't think Toyota, BMW or Honda have any interest in expansion of that nature, but there's always Renault/Nissan.

I think that they are just basing that "hint" on the fact that Ford Jr. said that selling Aston Martin was not totally out of the question. Toyota and Renault/Nissan are the only people IMHO who have the power right now to buy the company. I don't think GM would want another Swedish make and Fiat S.p.A. isn't doing very well at the moment, VAG has too much on its hands at the moment. <IMG SRC="http://www.swedespeed.com/ubb/smile.gif"><P>-Drew

I don't know. I think you guys would be surprised. GM may own Saab, but they don't sell a heck of a lot of cars. Further, they are strong right now, meaning they might be cocky enough to try it.<P>I don't get why Ford would sell Aston though. It's their high end car, and they're all Ford developed right now.
