Sunglass holders are now available as an accessory for S90s, V90s and XC90s.
Just to prove I am an authentic Volvo customer (ie, someone one who would complain if the lottery ticket he found on the sidewalk cashed for only $100K) I observe that this new sunglass holder looks nearly as shallow as the holder that was available for my V60. I had to return that one because it was too flat for my wraparounds.

But the trick Ocean Race Polestarized wraparounds (My wife thinks they are "polarized." But what does she know?) that are on my FDC store shopping list :) come with their own hard shell case. The case appears smaller than the XC40's center console tissue box. So I, at least, am good.

So XC40 doesn't have a place for sunglasses????? With all the nooks and crannies they created for the interior, are you saying they didn't make accommodations for sunglasses????
Please show me where I wrote that the XC40 does not have a place for sunglasses...come on, people!

Interesting topic as I just saw the new XC40 demo in Scottsdale, AZ. No flag on hood or the seats. This was a R Design. Certainly stood out since all the Press models have been touted as look at this little hood flag!
False advertising. Not too surprising.

Saw the XC40 today. Lots of impressions, but as far as this thread goes, my wife will NOT get the car without the hood flag, and I'm not kidding. Volvo really better have this as an accessory in 6 months :)

That's crazy. Gorgeous little car. One missing piece of plastic and she says no??

Every reviewer pointed out that hood flag. She expects it. And yes, I support her in that.
One way or another that flag will be available, and we'll get the crossover.
But my point is, don't freaking put something on media demo cars that customers won't get.

Yes, marketing trickery is total bs.

There is a white XC40 R design near Columbus OH that has the Hood flag. Just saying....

Is it still sitting in the service bay waiting to be PDI'd? I looked at it to show the parts/salespeople what I meant by the Swedish Flag installed on the hood.

R-Design + seat flag = :thumbup::)

Questions: How do you like it so far? Any surprises? What color is your R-Design? And, most critical of all, does it also have a hood flag?

No one will object if you post pix, too. :)
Loving driving it, no complaints really. Few little things I would have preferred to be different (like permanent disable start/stop function), but no car will perfectly satisfy every need.
No surprises really, other than neighbor making fun of car...wants to know if it comes with CD from ABBA!!!
No flag on hood, sorry, just on seat...I prefer it there. Think outside one may get tattered or disappear.
