Ok I tried googling this a couple different ways and I couldn't really find what I was looking for. I would really like to swap in an S60R turbo and manifold in to my car, and I know the manifold is pretty much a direct bolt on. What about the turbo?? I remember hearing that the oil lines are slightly different from the T5's but how easy is it to make it work?? Should I run the R injectors also or will my T5 injectors work?? The reason why I'm asking is there is an S60R manifold and turbo on Ebay for about $755 BIN and it seems like a good deal.

These are slightly different engines (IIRC bore and stroke is a bit different - T5 has a few fewer cc's), so I think mixing up the injectors could be a problem. Bolting on different turbos is more doable, you'll be increasing turbo boost... the engine can probably handle it but it might shorten the life expectancy a bit.

Yeah but with higher boost you need more spark and fuel right?? That's why I thought swapping to R injectors might be a thought, I think they're only 330cc but I might be off. Anyone know anything about the difference in oil lines?? Thanks for the input

What about the ATP Manifold?? Does anyone know anything about that manifold or is anyone using it. Their website says that you can use like three different sized turbos with it and I'm sure the R turbo would work on it. Here is a link to the manifold on their website.
http://www.atpturbo.com/Mercha...V5CYL
You'll have to buy the associated coolant/oil lines from dealer for s60R and I would definitely do the green injectors along with the turbo and get a good tune for it. Also do downpipe while you're in there. T5 blocks are very strong.

find a k24 tune, then decide if it should be right to buy..
i've heard of a few guys putting the k24s on their 850Rs and it worked well...

I just don't think the cost of going to a K24 is worth it for the performance you're going to gain. I mean, might as well go with a 28R, or a 30R instead if you are already going to go with a bigger turbo.

a good tune wont bend rods. ifnt420 (sickass xc70 from taiwan) has a k24 with green injectors on a 2.4t (LPT) motor with stock internals and is pushing 250+ awhp. It was tuned by marco (MTE). Everything will be fine provided a good tune.

Re: (Impulse922)

ATP's website says it has a manifold that will fit a fwd and awd S60. Not sure if there is any modification though but if I were going to do it I would definitely contact them first just to make sure. Here's the link.
http://www.atpturbo.com/Mercha...e=BCS
If you tried to use the atp manifold, the turbo would end up hitting you're firewall. Just go with the s60R manifold and k24 turbo. If you wanted to bolt on a different turbo ie Garrett you could use anything with a t3 exhaust flange as the flanges are the same size but you'll need the adapter http://www.atpturbo.com/Mercha...V5CYL
