OK, I have searched and found StaggRLee's Svenske Lite thread with the 5x8 oval muffler. I just installed the Svenske today, a bit too loud for me but I knew this before, I always planned to tame it but the question is how. I really don't want to mess with the rear s bend section that is coated black... call me crazy but I just don't unless I have to. Sniz was going to install a 4" round magnaflow muffler in the front straight pipe section, this is what I want to do but I have NO IDEA how much this small magnaflow will quiet it down. Has anybody added this muffler to the 'loud' Evolve exhaust or the Svenske? Has anyone ever used this muffler at all and if so how much does it cut the sound? Here is a picture of the muffler in question. Thanks for any help! (thanks Sniz for the pic!)

Re: Svenske Exhaust Muffler Help. (nikhsub1)

If you install any muffler in front of the S bend, you're really going to run into some clearance issues between the exhaust and driveshaft, especially when it's raining.
I know of a few people that have installed an oval magnaflow (I think R Kelly did at one point in time -- he's had about 20 different cat-backs on his car ) on the Svenske exhaust, and they always did it just ahead of the exhaust tip. It's pretty well hidden from view, and you've got a lot of room to work with in that particular area.

Sound clips as well.
