Just received a '06 V70R and from the dealer to home i noticed 2 things, one a sort of squeeking noise when turning the wheel from a parked position, and a sort of clunk noise ( like when you hit a dip to fast) when driving at moderate speeds over road imperfections (not big pot holes). This i noticed more in the comfort mode, havent driven it enough to test in the other modes. Is this normal or will i need to have it calibrated?

Re: suspension noise (campwc)

The clunk could be related to Volvo not taking the shipping spacers out of your springs. If the car is new it is quite common. Just check you springs, they are easy to see.

If he hears it only in comfort it's probably the 4C making its litttle rumbly noises, unfortunately (to a point) normal.
It really depends on how much noise it's making
JRL

I didn't say be a jerk.
One can throw a "tantrum" in an umm, "adult" way.
I was kidding to a point but he should make his displeasure well known. The fact that he has to copme back to the dealer the next day to have them properly ready his car for delivery shouldn't go unnoticed.
Perhaps a "gift (rubber mats, for instance) from the parts dept. for your trouble is not out of question for you to ask for.
You may get a $10 pen but it's something.
You should also be compensated for your fuel if you live a distance away from the dealer, this is certainly not out of the question these days with it costing you over $3.00 for every 16-17 miles or so

Personally I would be worried that if they managed to fail on this most fundamental aspect of doing the Pre Delivery Inspection, what else did they not do? You paid for this service in the cost of the vehicle, they just have not delivered it in a professional manner.
I agree going ape is not going to solve the problem, but if the dealership is so incompetent, what is the value in building a relationship?
If you can get the car on a lift and do your own inspection so much the better. At a minimum check all the fluids etc.
