The sun here in New Zealand is pretty harsh and we're getting some UV damage on our 2009 T6.

First the dash is bubbling on the panel that has the camera display in it. Has anyone else had this and found a successful way to repair?

Second, the high level third brake light is crazing and cracking. Has anyone found a good aftermarket light or has everyone just used a factory replacement for this?

Remove the black bezel by prying up from the bottom and detaching it around the edges. Wet sand the face with 800 grit sandpaper. Then use a matte or satin spray paint like Rustoleum Ultracover that adheres to plastic. Technically, it’s charcoal not actually black.

The third brake light can’t really be repaired, but you can apply UV film to prevent further damage. In both cases, used replacement parts are also an option.

Thanks for the reply; good advice regarding the dash. It may be a job for over our Christmas/summer break.

There are few second hand parts here but I'll see what is available.

Richard, I have the exact same issue. Honestly, I believe the damage to the console is from oil from the skin. Over time it builds up and breaks down the paint coating.

Thats interesting, so it'd be common in all climates I guess.
